Day 4: Kamakurau (26 October 2011)

26 Oct: Big breakfast before heading out for a outskirt trip in Kamakurau

We bought the Enoshima Kamakura Free Pass as it is the cheapest. We were fine with the less comfortable and slower train.

Reached Kamakura and first stop the beach!

Memories of the horror scenes from the Japan tsumani is still fresh in mind. It shook us a little when we saw this sign.

A nice local offered to help us take a photo together. So sweet.

Along the beach, we saw an empty garage with beautiful paintings on the wall. It ignite the arty self in me. Time for some artistic photos.

We continued taking the train from the beach to the famous Buddha statue and our trekking starting point. Near the Buddha statue, we saw an interesting way of making octopus snack. From big fat octopus to a thin as paper snack.

We thought that the Buddha statue is very big like the one in Lantau Island in Hong Kong. After seeing it, it was really a disappointment. SO SMALL!

Bored with the temple but refused to leave because we paid to get into the temple. So stayed longer. Decided to play with shadow.

Finally time for trekking. All the way to Kaizoji Temple!

Haven't start climbing. Tired already?

Finally! At Kaizoji Temple, it seems like women take temple visiting very seriously. They wear their traditional costumes to pray.

So tried after the trekking. Drink corn soup out of a can. Yummy!

As we were approaching the beach station, we decided to try our luck in catching the sun set. We made the right decision. Amazing scenery! God is good.

We arrived at Shinjuku and found out that our favourite ramen shop was closed for good. SO SAD!

Went back to Daimon for dinner instead.

Such a thoughtful service. A basket to put our bags.

ROOM SWEET ROOM
